Box office revenue and commercial income can only ever cover part of the cost involved in delivering USE’s artistic programme, and support is vital to ensure that our work remains accessible to a broad and diverse audience, in the UK and abroad.
We rely very much on the generosity of our supporters. Philanthropic gifts from individuals, companies, trusts and foundations are crucial as is our collaboration with sponsors.

Your time with us is as precious to us as it is (hopefully) to you. As a Friend you will join a group of supporters, with opportunities to go behind the scenes, and see how our projects come together.
We like to make these opportunities accessible to as may of you as possible. Any amount from £30 upwards will make a difference to us, whether you decide to give once or on a regular basis.
We will send out special newsletters and early bird booking dates / priority booking, invite you to special behind-the-scene events, rehearsals, and you will have opportunities to meet the artists.
Trusts, Foundations, Public Funding
USE receives crucial financial support from trusts, foundations and public funders. Artistic grants enable us to develop new programmes, commission new works and partner with the very best and most exciting artists. Grants also support our outreach work. Recently we were generously supported by the Cockayne Grants for the Arts, Marchus Trust, PRS Foundation and Help Musicians as well as Arts Council England.
