Renewal: The Lark Ascending
4 jugglers – 6 musicians
Celebrating the union of dance, contemporary juggling and music, this new show brings together four jugglers and six musicians to explore our individual and collective yearning for greater balance with nature, developing themes of personal growth and solidarity through the beauty of movement and collaborative arts. At the heart of the programme is Vaughan Williams’ much-loved The Lark Ascending, played here in a rarely heard chamber music arrangement, alongside Caroline Shaw’s Entr’acte, Osvaldo Golijov’s Tenebrae and Joanna Marsh’s Another Eden (USE commission). The choreography is directed by juggler extraordinaire Sean Gandini, with dance choreography in The Lark Ascending by Hannah George.
