22 November // Wigmore Hall
United Strings of Europe and its director Julian Azkoul, hailed by The Strad for their ‘superb performances’ and ‘stunning precision’, exist to break down barriers and connect audiences through programmes that open minds and hearts to an enriching multiplicity of works. They are joined by Tamsin Waley-Cohen for the world première of jazz bassist and composer Misha Mullov-Abbado’s Violin Concerto (co-commissioned by the Wigmore Hall and United Strings of Europe). The programme includes works by Osvaldo Golijov and Olli Mustonen that appear on their recent album Hommages.
